One of my inspiration sources with a bridge function connecting the parts of the Dutch Kingdom, is the House of Orange. 'Aruban Prank and Pride' was presented in the Dutch Paviljon in 1992, at World Expo Sevilla 1992... (Reflecting and exploring my own identity as an Aruban.)

As a professional artist I mainly earn my living with the painting of portraits. Portraits are excellent studies for constant growing in the techniques of painting, I believe... from sketch to 'official portrait'.

A quest for a 'new' actual interpretation of 'DIVINE MADNESS'... related to the Christian belief/faith and inherent doubts, in the broadest sence of the word... The ultimate philosophy of the dominating western culture and amongst others, also the source of the 'international basic human rights' (?!)

A quest for a 'new' actual interpretation of 'DIVINE MADNESS'... related to the Christian belief/faith and inherent doubts, in the broadest sence of the word... The ultimate philosophy of the dominating western culture and amongst others, also the source of the 'international basic human rights' (?!)
Our Kingdom in general and the Aruban Culture in particular are a constant source of inspiration for me. Also the chaotic, dynamic, sometimes almost 'collage-like' (jazzy) Caribbean identity of Aruba, is reflected as well as I can, in this series/collection!
